Production:

After distillation in pot stills, Glen Moray whisky is initially aged in bourbon casks. For finishing, it is then transferred to port wine casks, which give it additional flavors and a characteristic color.

Tasting notes:

Glen Moray Port Cask Finish has a light, golden color. On the nose, aromas of dark fruits, vanilla, and oak are noticeable. On the palate, it shows a good balance between sweetness and spice, with notes of red berries, caramel, and a hint of oak. The finish is medium-length and warm.

Der Glen Moray Port Cask Finish präsentiert sich mit einer hellen, goldenen Farbe. In der Nase sind Aromen von dunklen Früchten, Vanille und Eiche zu erkennen. Am Gaumen zeigt er eine gute Balance zwischen Süße und Würze, mit Noten von roten Beeren, Karamell und einem Hauch von Eiche. Der Abgang ist mittellang und warm.

Nach der Destillation in Pot Stills reift der Glen Moray Whisky zunächst in Bourbonfässern. Für die Nachreifung wird er dann in Portweinfässer umgefüllt, was ihm zusätzliche Aromen und eine charakteristische Farbe verleiht.
